A family member may apply in the same manner for you.

Be sure to apply early. Absentee ballots should be available three weeks before an election. Call the Clerk's office, 508-476-4000, ext. 255, to make certain that the absentee ballots are available.
Requesting to Vote in Person
If you do not want to have a ballot mailed to you, you may request to vote in person before the election. You may vote at the Town Clerk's office any time before Election Day during regular business hours.
Voting by Absentee Ballot
If you are requesting an absentee ballot be mailed, the ballot will come with instructions and a set of envelopes. After making your choices on the ballot, you must enclose it in the inner (smaller) brown envelope, place proper postage on it and mail it back to the Town Clerk's office at:
29 Depot Street
Douglas, MA 01516
For your ballot to be counted, a completed ballot must be received by the time the polls close on Election Day.
If you are not able to write, you may have a person assist you. The person assisting you must sign your name as well as their name, address and telephone number.
